Pinellas detectives are actively investigating the report of a shooting at the Southern Comfort Mobile Home Park located at 24479 US Highway 19 North, in unincorporated Clearwater.
Deputies were dispatched to the location at approximately 1:10 p.m. on
Tuesday, January 17, 2017, regarding reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, patrol deputies located a male victim with a gunshot wound.
Deputies performed CPR until paramedics arrived on-scene. Â The victim was transported to Mease Countryside Hospital for life threatening injuries being described as a gunshot wound to the chest.
One male subject was taken into custody by deputies near the park entrance at gunpoint.
Deputies say that all parties are accounted for and there is no threat to the community.
