FHP continues to investigate a fatality crash that killed 59 year-old Jeffrey Mundy of Pinellas Park.
The crash occurred at approximately 5:50 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in the eastbound lanes of I-4 at mile marker 3.
Troopers say that Mundy lost control of his 2016 Isuzu truck as he was traveling on I-4 just east of US-41.
The truck departed the roadway and collided with a highway sign, utility box, and roadway fencing in the south shoulder of the interstate.
Mundy was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Troopers say that alcohol did not play a role in the crash.
The investigation continues.
