At about 2:44 a.m., on Saturday, August 25, 2018, deputies responded to a single vehicle crash at 1283 Bayshore Boulevard. Deputies arrived on scene and observed a vehicle that had struck a telephone pole and tree. Deputies and paramedics arrived on-scene and made contact with the vehicle and Miller, who was the only occupant in the vehicle. Miller refused medical treatment.
Deputies noted Miller showing signs of impairment by having bloodshot and glassy eyes, a slight slur to his speech, and a distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his mouth. Miller agreed to perform Field Sobriety Tests, but performed poorly on them.
Deputies say that Miller submitted to a breath sample which indicated he had a BrAC of .124/.121.
