Rescuers Helping Stranded Whales on Clearwater Beach
Clearwater Fire & Rescue crews are in the 1500 block of Gulf Boulevard helping Clearwater Marine Aquarium with a stranded marine life situation.
The two whales have been taken to Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium in Sarasota for treatment.
Mote officials say the two are pygmy killer whales, not melon-headed whales as originally thought.
Any further updates on the whales will come from Mote.
