Three people face charges in connection with Monday afternoon’s shooting and crash at 101 Riverfront Boulevard. Bradenton Police Detectives determined the incident stemmed from road rage after one driver failed to signal his intent to turn left.
At approximately 3:20 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, Raesean Poole, 33, the driver of a Jeep Compass, was waiting to turn left out of the parking lot at 101 Riverfront Blvd. Anthony Williams, 20, was driving a Buick sedan east on Riverfront Blvd. and turned left into the parking lot in front of Poole. Williams parked his vehicle, and Poole backed up to confront him about not using a turn signal. Williams and a passenger, 16-year-old Manuel Villatoro, exited the Buick. Poole claims that during the confrontation, Williams showed him a gun. CCTV video shows Poole began to drive away several times but repeatedly stopped and continued arguing with Williams.
During the final confrontation, Poole turned onto Riverfront Blvd., reversed, and accelerated toward Williams. Poole hit a stop sign and a tree and struck Williams in the leg.
In response, Villatoro retrieved a gun and fired into Poole’s Jeep.
Poole, Williams, and Villatoro were detained shortly after the incident.
- Poole is charged with aggravated battery with a motor vehicle.
- Villatoro is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
- Charges are pending against Williams, who was not seriously injured.
The investigation continues.
