Roadway depression at U.S. 19 and Curlew Road intersection causing major traffic impacts
Florida Department of Transportation contractors are working to repair a depression that opened at the intersection of U.S. 19 and Curlew Road on Thursday afternoon. As a result:

The westbound lanes of Curlew Road are closed west of U.S. 19.
The northbound U.S. 19 curb lane is closed in the area.

The southbound U.S. 19 left-turn lane to Curlew Road is closed.
These closures are causing significant delays, particularly for northbound traffic on U.S. 19.
FDOT expects to complete the repairs and reopen the lanes by midnight Thursday. In the meantime, drivers should avoid the area if possible and consider alternate routes to minimize travel time.
