Sarasota school employee arrested for three felony charges against three students

SARASOTA – Cobie Bradley, 21, has been arrested and is facing multiple felony charges after three students came forward regarding allegations that Bradley inappropriately touched them.

The victims are boys and ages 14 to 15. The victims are three students from two schools, Sarasota School of Arts and Sciences (SSAS) and Sarasota High School. Sarasota Police detectives are concerned there may be additional victims and they are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Bradley has been arrested on three felony charges including:

  • 1 count of lewd and lascivious conduct on a victim under 16
  • 2 counts of lewd and molestation on a victim under 16

On Sept. 22, the parents of one of the victims came to the Sarasota Police Department to report that their son had been sexually assaulted on campus by Bradley while he was employed by SSAS.

Sarasota Police detectives interviewed staff from SSAS and they said Bradley was hired on Aug. 4, 2025, and he was assigned to the aftercare program on Sept. 17.

On Oct. 17, several students unrelated to the initial investigation saw Bradley on campus and told their band director they were uncomfortable with him because he had been inappropriately touching students.

On Oct. 21, Sarasota Police detectives spoke with an officer at Sarasota High School (SHS). The officer said Bradley was volunteering at SHS. Department of Children and Families also did their own investigation into the allegations

On Oct. 28, a second victim disclosed that Bradley inappropriately touched him two times during band camp in July 2025 at SHS. On Nov. 12, a third victim disclosed that Bradley inappropriately touched him in late August or early September 2025 at SSAS.

On Nov. 19, Bradley was arrested. During first appearance on Nov. 20, Bradley was given a $25,000 bond for each count equaling $75,000. The conditions for his release include a high supervise release, no contact with the victims and not to return to the schools.
