Seminole Man Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

SEMINOLE — Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit arrested a Seminole man on charges of possession of child pornography following an internet-based investigation.

According to investigators, the case began after a tip was received indicating Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) was being accessed online. Through investigative methods, detectives identified the suspect as 56-year-old Carlos Castellanos Gomez. He resides at 6401 Seminole Blvd.

Detectives reported the images involved children between the ages of 4 and 11.

On January 7, 2026, Gomez was arrested and charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
