Shooting Investigation Underway at Clearwater Apartment Complex

Clearwater, FL – March 23, 2025 – Clearwater Police detectives are actively investigating a shooting that took place Saturday night at the Estates of Countryside apartment complex, located at 2652 McMullen Booth Road. The incident, which occurred on March 22, 2025, around 10:45 p.m., left two teenage girls injured.

Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to the scene after receiving multiple calls from residents reporting gunshots. According to Clearwater Police, arriving officers located an 18-year-old female who had been shot. She was promptly transported to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, where she is being treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. A second victim, a 16-year-old girl, later arrived at Mease Countryside Hospital with injuries sustained in the same incident. Her condition is also considered non-life-threatening, according to officials.

Detectives report that the shooting stemmed from a dispute during a large gathering of juveniles and young adults near the apartment complex’s pool area. The situation escalated, resulting in gunfire. Following the shots, many individuals present at the scene fled before police could arrive, complicating efforts to identify witnesses and suspects.

The suspect remains at large, and the investigation is ongoing. Clearwater Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the case. Tips can be provided by calling 727-562-4242.
