ELLENTON – Gunshots were fired at the Ellenton Premium Outlets mall in Ellenton just after 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2023. When they arrived at the mall, Manatee County Sheriff Deputies reportedly located shell casings on the ground.
No victims were located. Police notified area hospitals to be on the alert for any gunshot victims.

Meanwhile, deputies were going from store to store checking on shoppers and employees who barricaded themselves when the sound of gunfire erupted.
The search for the involved parties is ongoing.
