A Trooper from the Florida Highway Patrol patrolling the Gandy Bridge observed a Mercedes sedan traveling westbound at 120 MPH in a posted 55 MPH zone. The incident occurred on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m.
The Trooper initiated a traffic stop and subsequently apprehended the driver, Brittany Diane Bianchi, 31, a St. Petersburg resident, on DUI charges.
Following her arrest, Bianchi engaged in a physical altercation with the Trooper, causing injury by digging her fingernails into the Trooper’s hands. With the assistance of local law enforcement, Bianchi was restrained and later transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
She faces multiple charges, including DUI – 3rd within 10 Years, Habitual Traffic Offender, Resisting Officer with Violence, Battery on Law Enforcement, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Speeding, and No Insurance.
