St. Petersburg Crash Leaves One Man Dead Tuesday Evening
St. Petersburg Police continue to investigate a crash that left two people injured and one person dead.
The crash occurred at 5th Avenue North and 65th Street North on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 6:14 p.m.
According to investigators, 74 year-old Hoyle Massey was driving a 2008 Honda Odyssey northbound on 65th Street approaching 5th Ave N. Massey attempted to continue northbound through 5th Ave and entered the path of a 2016 Chevy Silverado.
The Chevy was traveling eastbound on 5th Avenue when the collision occurred. The driver of the Chevy was identified as 29 year-old Daniel Brizzi. Brizzi was transported to Palms of Pasadena Hospital. His passenger, 35 year-old Nicholas Serrano, was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
Massey was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where he later died from his injuries.
The investigation continues.
