St. Petersburg Fire Rescue Responds to Hazardous Materials Incident at Manufacturing Facility

ST. PETERSBURG — St. Petersburg Fire Rescue crews are on scene of a hazardous materials-related incident at a manufacturing facility in the 2500 block of Terminal Drive South.

As a precaution, the facility was evacuated. One worker was exposed during the incident and was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The individual is reported to be in stable condition.

Fire rescue personnel and other first responders are actively working to safely mitigate the materials involved.

Officials stated there is no immediate danger to the public, and no evacuation of the surrounding area is required at this time.
