St. Petersburg firefighters extinguish boat fire at the Harborage at Bayboro Marina

At approximately 5:00 pm on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, reports of a boat tied to the dock of Harborage at Bayboro Marina had smoke coming from inside a 36ft cabin cruiser boat.

The Harborage at Bayboro Marina is located at 1110 3rd St S in St. Petersburg.

According to St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue, no one was on board or injured. Crews arrived to find smoke from the cabin and made entry of the boat to locate the fire. The fire was found and contained inside the cabin and was extinguished.

Currently, unknown what caused the fire. The Fire Investigator is responding to the scene
now. At this time, there is no issue with any fuel or hazardous materials leaking into the water.
