ST. PETERSBURG — Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Investigations Unit have arrested a St. Petersburg man on charges related to child pornography.
The investigation began after detectives received information that child sexual abuse material (CSAM) was being accessed and shared over the internet. Through investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 30-year-old Marlon Perez.
According to investigators, the images involved children aged 4 to 6.
On February 12, 2026, Perez was arrested and charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Transmission of Child Pornography.
Perez was transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
