St. Petersburg Fire Rescue Investigating Death Following a Fire in St. Petersburg Home

St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue and St. Petersburg Police are currently on-scene of a single-story residential structure fire located at 5900 block of 13th St. N.

Investigators say that the fire was contained to one room inside the structure. 

There were two occupants inside the structure at the time of the fire.

One occupant was treated at the scene for minor smokie inhalation and a second occupant was a confirmed death.  

The State Fire Marshal assisted in the investigation.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
