Reports were received at about 2 PM on Friday, March 10, 2017, for a subject who accidentally shot themself at the AMC Movie Theatre at 3128 Tampa Road in Oldsmar.
Deputies quickly arrived and secured the scene for paramedics to treat the individual.
Deputies say a movie patron, Nathan A Schrage, went into the bathroom inside of the Oldsmar AMC movie theatre and placed his firearm from his concealed holster on the toilet paper dispenser.
Deputies say Schrage attempted to place his firearm back into his holster when the firearm accidentally discharged causing injury to his left hand.
Schrage does have a valid concealed carry permit. There was no one else reported to have been inside of the bathroom when the firearm discharged.
Schrage was transported to Tampa General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
