Subject In Custody Following Crash While Fleeing From Cleawater Police
At approximately 11:40 a.m., a Clearwater Police officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle/dirt bike on Belcher Road.
The male occupant attempted to flee the stop and in the process struck the rear of a stopped car waiting for the light southbound prior to Gulf to Bay.
No significant injuries were reported and the subject is in custody.
As of 12:45 p.m. the roadway was still closed during the investigation.
I agree, where is the dash cam, regardless if he was fleeing or not, that definitely looks like the cop gave him at very least a nudge with his cruiser.
