Tampa, FL (March 23, 2025) – Tampa Police have closed the Courtney Campbell Causeway in both directions near the Veterans Expressway exit due to an ongoing investigation.
At 7:46 p.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 6300 block of West Courtney Campbell Causeway. Upon arrival, they found an unoccupied vehicle. Shortly after, officers observed an adult male standing on a ledge beyond the railing.
Crisis negotiators are on the scene, working to resolve the situation peacefully. Authorities urge drivers to use alternate routes as the investigation continues.
