Tampa Police investigate fatal crash on Courtney Campbell Causeway

The Tampa Police Department is investigating a fatal single vehicle crash at Courtney Campbell Ramp to SR-60.

The crash occurred a approximately 3:14 a.m. on Thursday, October, 12, 2023. Tampa Police Officers responded to the Courtney Campbell Causeway in reference to a single vehicle car crash. Officers arrived on scene and located a 2001 Ford Explorer rolled over.

One adult male who was ejected from the vehicle was located and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Courtney Campbell Causeway was temporarily closed because of this incident.

All lanes have now been reopened.
