Tampa Police investigating fatal crash involving a motorcyclist

The Tampa Police Department is investigating a fatal crash at westbound SR60 ramp towards Veterans Expressway.

On Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at approximately 7:46pm officers responded to Westbound Sr 60/George J Bean Parkway and located an adult motorcyclist deceased on scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. The westbound lanes of SR60 will be closed because of this incident and is expected to remain closed for an extended period. Drivers are encouraged to used alternative routes.

Any additional details in this investigation will be released once they are available.
