On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, 16 year-old Carlos McNair turned himself in to police after investigators found him to be responsible for the shooting death of his 37 year-old uncle, Anthony Link.
On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, both were at a family gathering in 2500 block of 16th Ave. S. Shortly after an altercation Link left the gathering, got in his car and was leaving when McNair opened fire.
Link managed to leave the scene of the shooting but, crashed a short distance away. Investigators established probable cause to charge McNair with Second-Degree murder. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible
