Temple Terrace Man Dead After Being Struck by a Car in Tampa
On April 28, 2017 at 11:47 a.m., 73 year-old Edwin M. Lugo-Ramos of Temple Terrace was riding his bicycle south across Ehrlich Road at Gunn Highway within the crosswalk.
37 year-old Briana M. Zolak-Lindsay of Tampa was operating her 2011 Hyundai Tuscon westbound on Ehrlich Road at approximately 45 MPH.
According to investigators from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Zolak-Lindsay failed to stop at the red traffic signal and entered the intersection, striking Lugo-Ramos with the front of her vehicle.
Lugo-Ramos was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital Main where he was pronounced deceased. The investigation continues and charges are pending.
Zolak-Lindsay was not injured in the crash.
