Three vehicle crash under investigation in Palm Harbor

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) are currently investigating a three vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of Alt-19 and Nebraska Avenue in Palm Harbor. The crash occurred at approximately 12:25 p.m. on Sunday, March, 14, 2021.

Troopers say that a Dunedin resident, age 80, was driving a Honda SUV westbound on Nebraska Avenue at Alt-19. The driver of the SUV, at the intersection, turned left into the path of a F-250 pickup truck that was traveling northbound on Alt-19.

As a result of the collision, the pickup truck was redirected which then collided with a sedan that was traveling southbound on Alt-19. The sedan came to rest wedged under the pickup truck in the travel lanes of Alt-19.

According to troopers, the injures to the 80 year-old driver of the SUV along with the 23 year-male driver of the sedan and his 23 year-old female passenger from Palm Harbor were described as minor.

Troopers say the 20 year-old Ozona man operating the pickup truck was not injured in the crash.

FHP no longer publishes the names of individuals involved in vehicle crashes or provides the make/model of the vehicles involved.
