Tire Thief Arrested by FHP at North Skyway Parking Lot

Carlos Alberto Rivera-Pabon, age 23 of Tampa, was arrested today for theft and felony violation of probation.
According to Sgt. Steve Gaskin of the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), Troopers received a report of a suspicious vehicle that was missing a tire with a male occupant inside at the north toll plaza parking lot at the Skyway Bridge today at approximately 1:34PM.
When Troopers arrived and made contact with Rivera-Pabon, he stated he had a flat tire on his 2008 Acura sedan. Troopers observed two other vehicles that were missing tires, one of which belonged to Computer Aid Inc. and another to a toll booth employee in the same parking lot.
Troopers then also noticed that Rivera-Pabon was in possession of three additional tires which they soon linked to the other vehicles. Rivera-Pabon was shortly thereafter placed under arrest for theft and felony violation of probation and booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
