Traffic crash on Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa kills motorcyclist and bicyclist

Tampa Police responded to Bayshore Boulevard near Rome Avenue for the report of traffic crash with critical injuries at approximately 11:04 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2020.

Based on preliminary information, three motorcyclists were reportedly riding northbound on Bayshore Boulevard when a bicyclist attempted to cross the roadway at a cross walk near Rome Ave.

One of the motorcyclists struck a bicyclist and crashed.

The motorcyclist, in their 30’s, died on scene.

The bicyclist, in their 50’s, was transported to a nearby hospital and later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

This remains an open and active investigation.
