Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) continue investigating a crash on I-275 in St. Petersburg.
A 37-year-old Clearwater woman, operating a Mazda 6, was traveling southbound on I-275 at Milepost 17. The crash occurred on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at approximately 12:02 p.m.

Troopers say that the woman was cut off by another motorist resulting in her taking evasive action, steering to the left and into the center median.
In the median, the vehicle collided with a concrete traffic barrier, overturning multiple times and traveling to final rest in the outside lane of I-275.

The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to the trauma center at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
