Troopers investigating death along I-4 in Hillsborough County

FHP Troopers were called to and are conducting a death investigation involving a 50 year-old Tampa woman who jumped from a I-4 overpass near 50th Street for an unknown reason.

The incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022.

The woman fell upon the northbound lanes of 50^th Street, just north of the eastbound entrance ramp. Transported to an area hospital after jumping from the overpass, the woman died from her injuries.

The northbound lanes of 50^th Street are closed at this time; however, the east and westbound entrance ramps to I-4 are open.
