Troopers from the Flroida Highway Patrol continue to investigate a fatality crash in Pasco County.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:46 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023.
The driver of a Honda Accord was traveling northbound on I-75, south of the Pasco County Rest Area near Milepost 277, just south of SR-54.
Based on preliminary information, when the Honda suffered a tire failure it resulted in the driver losing control causing the Honda to depart the roadway and strike a tree.
An air transport unit responded to the scene. The 39-year-old male driver from Oley, Pennsylvania was transported to an area hospital where he died from injuries.
