Troopers seeking driver responsible for hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a bicyclist in Pinellas Park

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is seeking the public’s help to identify the vehicle and/or driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in Pinellas Park.

The crash occurred on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at approximately 11:05 p.m. at 62nd Avenue N and 42nd Street.

According to FHP, a dark-colored Toyota sedan struck a bicyclist while traveling eastbound on 62nd Avenue and 42nd Street in Pinellas Park.  The unknown driver fled the scene of the crash.  The bicyclist, 20-year-old Noah Sobczak of St. Petersburg, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. 

Troopers recovered debris from the vehicle’s crash scene, including a Toyota emblem (see attached photo). Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call FHP (*347) or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
