A Pasco County Deputy and two citizens help rescue a man from a burning car.

The incident occurred on Saturday, February 18, at 4:19 AM.

911 operators received a call of a vehicle fire on SR 52 near Kent Grove Dr in Spring Hill.

As units were responding Deputies were notified that there was a subject trapped inside the car.

Pasco Deputy Anthony Petersen arrived on scene to find the front of the crashed vehicle engulfed in flames, and, with the help of two citizens, was able to pull the driver from the burning car.  Upon arrival, flames were reported to be 10-15 feet high.

Fire Rescue personnel said the driver had only minor injuries, likely as a result of the efforts of these three people.

The driver was identified as Anthony Rouch. Rouch was reportedly belligerent to Troopers investigating the crash and alcohol appeared to have played a role in the crash.  He was transported to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point for medical evaluation.

Rouch posted shortly before the crash at 2:25 AM from Brewlands Bar & Billards in Carrollwood.

The good Samaritans have been identified as Crystian Martinez and Randy Breighner.

FHP continues to investigate the crash.
