The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is currently investigating a crash that killed two motorists in Pasco County. The crash occurred at approximately 12:05 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
According to troopers, a 20 year-old male from Odessa, was traveling northbound on Altamont Lane in an SUV. He was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of State Road 54.
A motorcycle operated by a 21 year-old male from Wesley Chapel was traveling eastbound on State Road 54 at a high speed. The driver of the SUV entered the intersection in an attempt to turn left onto westbound State Road 54.
The helmeted motorcyclist collided with the drivers side of the SUV and died at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
