TWO STUDENTS ARRESTED FOR WEAPONS ON BLAKE HIGH CAMPUS

Two Blake High school students were involved in an altercation today, shortly after 11:00 AM, while on campus.
According to Tampa Police, the assistant principal intervened and brought them to the main office. The school resource officer met them in the office and upon search, one was found to have a gun, the other had a knife.
These weapons were not used or brandished during the altercation. Blake High was placed on lock-out during the event.
The principal reportedly notified parents and family of the situation.
Tampa Police detectives took both subjects into custody.
Both students were 17 year-old males.
The first is facing charges of Possession of a firearm on school grounds; theft of a firearm; Violation of Probation.
The second student was charged with Possession of a knife on school grounds.
