The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) continues to investigate a crash that killed two drivers overnight. The crash occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in Hillsborough County.
According to investigators, a 24 year-old female driver was traveling southbound in an SUV on Dale Mabry Highway, south of Gunn Highway.

Another vehicle, a sedan, operated by a 23 year-old female driver was traveling northbound on Dale Mabry Highway.
The driver of the SUV begen to travel southbound in the northbound lanes and
collided head-on with the sedan.

Both drivers suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. FHP reports that both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
