Two Teens Arrested for Threatening Social Media Post in Pinellas County

On October 18th, the St. Petersburg Police Department became aware of a social media post that showed a threatening message with a photo of two teenagers pointing what appeared to be guns while standing in front of a Pinellas County Sheriff Deputy’s parked vehicle.

Today, police arrested the two teenage boys, ages 15 and 17 on various charges.

The 17-year-old is charged with:

  • Armed Trespassing
  • Threatening communications
  • Two counts of VOP Felony
  • Violation of Supervised Release
  • Tampering with E/M

The 15-year-old is charged with:

  • Armed Trespassing
  • Possession of Marijuana

Parents, please remind your teens that threats on social media are not a joke.
The St. Petersburg Police Department says that they take threatening social media posts very seriously, and the consequences could be severe.
