USF Football Player Arrested After Alleged Sexual Battery
USF Police have just announced that a USF football player was detained at the Tampa International Airport.
According to the limited information available, at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017, the USF Police Department received notification of an alleged sexual battery that occurred on the USF Tampa Campus involving a female student and a USF football player.
Officers responded to Holly Drive Apartments Building A to investigate the report of a sexual battery involving two students. The victim immediately reported the incident to university housing staff who assisted the victim in contacting police. The suspect and victim are acquaintances.
On Monday evening at about 10:40 p.m., USF Student Ladarrius Jackson was charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment and transported to the Hillsborough County Jail for processing.
