Woman stabbed multiple times by her son in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg Police Department (SPPD) is currently investigating a stabbing that left a woman with life-threatening injuries Officers responded to a stabbing at a home at 2330 49th Street South at approximately 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. 53 year-old, Pamela Yerby-Cole was taken to the hospital with very serious injuries from multiple stab wounds. Her son, 27 year-old Jabari Kalonji, is in custody and facing charges of attempted first degree murder It is very early in the investigation and SPPD will send out an update with more information as it becomes available.
