On Saturday, February 4, at 4:15 AM, officers from St. Petersburg Police Department were called to 4918 21st Avenue North to investigate a gunshot heard in the area.
Around the same time, a woman suffering from a gunshot wound was dropped off at St. Petersburg General Hospital.
The victim has been identified as 21 year-old Iyana Worrils. Worrils is said to be in stable condition at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
The man who dropped her off, 35 year-old Ramon Green, returned to the house right after officers arrived and was questioned.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for the house and seized 4.3 ounces of powder cocaine, 14 pounds of marijuana, 100 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy – approx.. 300 pills), digital scales and packaging. The narcotics have an estimated street value of $30,000.
Green was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
According to SPPD, Green and Worrils are friends.
SPPD is still investigating who owns the pills.
Meantime, the investigation continues into the shooting.
