Woman Suspected of DUI on Ulmerton Rd After Wrong-Way Crash

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), 31 year-old Lindy Morris of Dunedin was traveling in a 2014 Chevy 4D vehicle eastbound in the westbound lanes of Ulmerton Road today at approximately 3:47 PM.
Morris was traveling in an active construction zone in the area of 40th Street North.  She continued the wrong-way in the active construction zone until passing over Stoneybrook Drive where westbound traffic was stopped due to a red traffic light.
Stephanie Turow of Largo in a 2007 Chrysler 4D was stopped in the inside lane of westbound Ulmerton Road due to the red traffic signal at Stoneybrook Drive.
Morris continued eastbound in the inside westbound lane of Ulmerton Road until colliding head-on with Turow. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and both drivers sustained minor injuries and were transported to Largo Medical Center Hospital.
Charges are pending since FHP reports that alcohol played a role in the crash.
Morris just bailed out of the Pinellas County Jail on February 5, 2014 following her arrest the day prior. Â She was charged with petty theft and several counts of possession of a controlled substance. Â Bail was set at $6,150.
