Wrong-Way Crash on Belcher Road Leaves One Dead, Two Injured

Palm Harbor, FL – A wrong-way collision on Belcher Road resulted in one fatality and two injuries on the evening of Friday, February 28, 2025.

According to authorities, a Toyota Tundra was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Belcher Road for unknown reasons. At approximately 8:40 p.m., near the intersection of Beecher Drive East, the Tacoma collided with a northbound Cadillac DTS before striking a Mazda Protégé 5. All three vehicles came to rest in the travel lanes.

Emergency crews transported all three drivers to area hospitals for treatment. The driver of the Tacoma, a 68-year-old man from Tarpon Springs, later died to his injuries.

The other drivers, a 73-year-old woman from Tarpon Springs and a 35-year-old man from Palm Harbor, sustained injuries but their conditions have not been released.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
