Zephyrhills Woman Dies in Rollover Vehicle Crash on I-275 in Tampa

A fatal crash occurred on I-275 near Waters Avenue on Monday, January 20, 2025, at approximately 12:49 PM.

A 26-year-old woman from Zephyrhills was driving a Kia Sportage SUV southbound when she lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons. The SUV veered onto the outside shoulder and collided with a parked Dodge Dart, which had been abandoned on the right shoulder of the interstate.

The impact caused the abandoned vehicle to be propelled across the highway, where it came to rest on the inside shoulder. The Kia Sportage overturned and came to rest along the outside shoulder.

The driver of the SUV was transported to a nearby hospital but later died from her injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
