Deputies from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office are currently on-scene of a death. The death was related to a vehicle fire that occurred near the toll booth on the Pinellas Bayway close to Ft. DeSoto Park.
Firefighters were dispatched at approximately 11:35 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019.
Firefighters arrived on-scene and discovered a deceased individual in the vehicle.
This is very early in the investigation. Initial information indicates that the vehicle may have struck at tree prompting the fire.
