Suspicious Fatal Fire Under Investigation in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG — Authorities are investigating a fatal house fire that occurred early Sunday morning in the Coquina Key area.

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded at approximately 3:30 a.m. on March 22, 2026, to a residential structure fire at 3964 Neptune Drive SE. Upon arrival, crews encountered a single-story home with heavy fire conditions and occupants inside.

Four people were inside the home at the time of the fire. Eighteen-year-old Angelina Anderson died from her injuries.

A 35-year-old woman was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition. Two minors were also taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation and later released.

Officials have classified the cause of the fire as suspicious. The St. Petersburg Police Department is actively investigating the incident.
