5 Year-old Boy Dies in St. Petersburg After Drowning
Shortly before 7pm on Wednesday, September 13th, St. Petersburg Police responded to a missing 5 year old boy at Poynter Park, 1002 3rd St. S.
The family was fishing at the park when his mother noticed the child was missing and immediately called police.
The child, 5 year-old Jamirreeus Broward, was last seen on the sea wall.
The Fire Rescue Dive Team located Jamirreeus in the water at 7:28 p.m. and paramedics performed CPR and transported him to the hospital.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
