76-Year-Old Pinellas Park Man Killed in Skyway Bridge Motorcycle Crash

A 76-year-old Pinellas Park man was killed in a crash on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge on April 5, 2026, at approximately 12:45 PM.

According to investigators, the man was operating a three-wheeled Spyder motorcycle northbound near Milepost 12 when he took evasive action to avoid a collision with an unknown vehicle. During the maneuver, he lost control of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle traveled onto the shoulder, struck the outside guardrail, and was redirected back into the outside northbound lane. The rider was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

The man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Northbound lanes of the Skyway Bridge were closed following the crash and remained shut down until approximately 5:17 PM as crews investigated and cleared the scene.
