Seminole Man Critically Injured After SUV Turns In Front of Motorcycle

34 year-old Larry Leroy Litzell of Seminole was critically injured this afternoon in a crash at Park Street and 62nd Avenue N in unincorporated St. Petersburg.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:30 PM as the man was traveling northbound on a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle.  According to the Florida HIghway Patrol (FHP), 51 year-old Arunas Ambrukaitis of St. Petersburg was traveling southbound on Park Street in a 2012 Honda SUV. According to FHP, Ambrukaitis turned left into the path of the motorcyclist at the intersection.
The collision occurred as the front of the motorcycle collided with the right rear side of the Honda.
Charges are listed as pending as FHP continues their investigation. Â FHP indicated that the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The man was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg in critical condition. Alcohol did not appear to have played a role in this crash
Ambrukaitis was not injured in the crash.
