Pinellas Deputies Investigate Near Drowning of Young Child at Water Park in Indian Rocks

Pinellas Suncoast Fire & Rescue and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office responded after reports of a drowning at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018.

This near drowning occurred at the Splash Harbour Water Park located at 399 2nd Street in Indian Rocks.

Pinellas Suncoast Fire & Rescue Firefighter-Paramedic Doug Higley waits for the parents of 3 year-old girl in a local emergency room.

Bayflite was initially dispatched to transport the child from the scene but was ultimately transported by ambulance to All Children’s Hospital for further medical care.

The child reportedly regained consciousness on scene

As of Sunday, the child reportedly is doing well and will make a full recovery.
