Hillsborough Detectives Locate Woman That Fell Out of Truck

*Disturbing Video Warning*

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office located the woman seen on a surveillance video falling from a moving vehicle in Tampa on Monday afternoon  and she is safe.

After a thorough investigation, HCSO determined that 21 year-old Jaiya Lee accidentally fell out of the 1998 Ford Expedition driven by her boyfriend 19 year-old Marquis Mills when they entered the intersection of 131st Avenue and 15th Street around 4:12 p.m. in the University area.

The couple had just left the Walmart at 2701 East Fletcher Avenue and were traveling with Marquis’ sister, and her one year old son in the back seat. All four are Tampa residents.

HCSO detectives have categorized the case as an accidental injury. Lee suffered road rash on both of her legs and elbows due to the accident. She has not sought medical attention since the fall.

HCSO became aware of the accident when witnesses called 911 to report seeing Lee in the street. No one in the vehicle reported the incident to authorities. According to all three adults in the SUV, Lee leaned against the front passenger door, which had been repaired due to previous damage, and fell out.
