The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating a crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian on US-19 at Johnson Road. The crash occurred at approximately 9:04 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019.
According to troopers, an unmarked Pasco Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle, operated by 29 year-old Daniel Daugherty, was traveling northbound on US-19 approaching Johnson Road.
A 62 year-old female pedestrian was walking across the intersection and into the path of the 2015 Dodge Charger.
The female pedestrian was struck and died at the scene of the crash.
Troopers say no charges are expected in this incident.
