St. Petersburg Police are investigating a fatal shooting off of Haines Road.
Officers were called to the scene shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.
Investigators say 23 year-old Damien Wiggins Jr was found with a gunshot wound. He was in the parking lot of a vacant business at 4611 Haines Road.
Wiggins was transported to Bayfront Health with life-threatening injuries. He died shortly after his arrival.
The investigation is considered a homicide and detectives continue to work to determine what happened and identify a suspect.
